Responsabilités

Le représentant des ventes spécialisé (SSR) – Gastroentérologie, fera la promotion du ou des produits de nos clients auprès des principaux leaders d’opinion, des spécialistes ciblés et des professionnels de la santé de la province de Québec. Il développera et exécutera des actions alignées sur les plans d’affaires du territoire, établissant et entretenant des relations de partenariat privilégié avec les clients clés. Pour réussir, le SSR devra comprendre les besoins des clients et fournir des produits et des solutions innovants qui servent le patient et la communauté médicale. Le SSR doit observer les valeurs et les comportements de nos clients, en plus des pratiques commerciales éthiques (conformité à Médicaments innovants Canada, code de conduite, etc.). Les responsabilités supplémentaires incluent :

  • Atteindre les résultats des ventes du territoire grâce à l’analyse des rapports de performance pertinents et à la mise en œuvre des actions appropriées.
  • Fournir l’effort promotionnel requis pour le territoire (détails ciblés/produit et portée et fréquence par rapport aux objectifs, réalisations des programmes de marketing, gestion de projet, couverture du formulaire hospitalier, livraison des messages, etc.) et assurer un retour d’information en temps opportun à la direction des ventes et du marketing du district.
  • Maintenir et utiliser une excellente connaissance des produits et des compétences de vente efficaces pour influencer les clients cibles clés afin de soutenir l’utilisation des produits promus.
  • Identifier et demander l’approbation pour mettre en œuvre des opportunités de création d’entreprise dans le territoire assigné
  • Assurer la conformité avec les politiques de l’entreprise, en particulier le signalement des événements indésirables et le PAAB.
  • Territoire: Ouest de Montréal : MUHC, JGH, Hôpital de Lakeshore, Verdun, Valleyfield, Gatineau-Hull, Rive-Sud, St-Hyacinthe, Granby, Sherbrooke
  • Votre clientèle est constituée principalement de gastro-entérologues sélectionnés, chirurgiens généralistes et internistes, ainsi que des pharmaciens dans les hôpitaux. Vous interagirez également avec les infirmières, l’administration des salles d’opération et d’endoscopie, ainsi que les achats et les pharmaciens hospitaliers, selon les besoins.

Caractéristiques du poste / Expérience

  • Diplôme universitaire dans le secteur commercial, scientifique ou dans un domaine connexe
  • Expérience de vente de produits de spécialité dans l’industrie pharmaceutique
  • Accréditation au CFPC serait un atout
  • Connaissance de l’aire thérapeuqtique gastroentérologie est un atout
  • Réseau existant de relations dans les centres hospitaliers clés du territoire est un atout

Responsibilities

The Specialty Sales Representative (SSR) – Gastroenterology , will promote our client’s product(s) to key opinion leaders, targeted specialists and healthcare professionals in the province of Quebec. He/she/they will develop and perform actions aligned with the territory business plans, establishing and maintaining preferred partner relationships with key customers. In order to succeed, the SSR will need to understand customer needs and deliver innovative products and solutions that serve the patient and the medical community. The SSR is expected to observe our client’s values and behaviours, in addition to ethical business practices (Innovative Medicines Canada compliance, code of conduct, etc.). Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Achieve territory sales results through the analysis of relevant performance reports and implementation of appropriate actions.
  • Deliver required territory promotional effort (targeted details/product and reach and frequency vs objectives, marketing programs achievements, project management, hospital formulary coverage, message delivery etc.) and ensures timely feedback to district sales management and marketing.
  • Maintain and utilizes excellent product knowledge and effective selling skills to influence key target customers to support the use of promoted products.
  • Identify and seek approval to implement business-building opportunities in assigned territory
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, particularly adverse event reporting and PAAB.
  • Your territory will include West of Montreal: MUHC, JGH, Lakeshore Hospital, Verdun, Valleyfield, Gatineau-Hull, South-Shore, St-Hyacinthe, Granby, Sherbrooke
  • Your clientele consists primarily of selected gastroenterologists, general surgeons and internists. You will also interact with nurses, operating room and endoscopy administration, as well as purchasing and hospital pharmacists as required.

Job Specifications/Required Experience:

  • University degree in commerce, scientific or related field
  • Prior specialty selling experience in pharmaceutical industry
  • CCPE accreditation is an asset
  • Knowledge in gastroenterology is an asset
  • 5 years of experience in selling Pharmaceutical products
  • Ideally 2 years experience in hospital sales

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual brand plans; implement marketing strategies, campaigns and tactics to drive demand; sources and explore new channel opportunities to maximize marketing plan impact and effectiveness

  • Collaborate with the cross-functional team (Sales, market access, medical, regulatory, etc., both in Canada and the US as required)
  • Lead the analysis and reporting of brand business results including sales, market share and TRx performance to plan, KPI’s, marketing variance, promotional impact, execution progress
  • Remain up to date with respect to customer marketplace including knowledge of key competitors and competitive strategies
  • Co-ordinate the production, fulfillment and maintenance of all marketing material; adhering to internal SOP’s and company compliance policies
  • Development of a customer strategy that ensures a strong reputation, high visibility; develop and leverage relationships with key opinion leaders and other external experts to optimize patient management and drive the brand forward

Education/Competencies Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree is an asset (MBA, MSc)
  • Progressive experience in commercial pharmaceuticals preferably with 4-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in the area of rare disease.
  • Launch experience required
  • Experience within a pharmaceutical start up organization (preferred)

  • Demonstrated track record of successful product launches and sustained commercial growth

Responsibilities

The MSL will serve as a scientific resource for Canadian experts in the field of Immunology, Oncology and Apherisis. The MSL is responsible for responding to requests for in depth, cutting edge scientific information from the medical community in the autoimmune field including the latest scientific literature, the latest research from major scientific conferences, updates on our client’s educational activities and our clients pipeline research activities. The MSL will also gather feedback and insight from Scientific Experts and Thought Leaders to better inform our clients research and overall strategic direction. By facilitating scientific exchange between the academic community and our client, the MSL could have the opportunity to shape the future of healthcare with information that addresses important clinical and scientific questions. In all interactions, the MSL has responsibility to ensure that activities are compliant with all applicable guidelines, Rules and Regulations for Conducting Research, IMC Code of Conduct, our clients Canadian Policy on the Promotion of Pharmaceutical Products and Ethical Interactions with Health Care Providers, and other prevailing regulations/codes that may pertain to their work in the future.

Objectives

Develop and maintain mutually beneficial, peer-to-peer relationships with the scientific community:

  • The MSL will spend a significant amount of their time on customer-facing activities to develop relationships with external customers including scientific experts, researchers, educators, and clinical investigators. The MSL will serve as a major representative of our client for these health care professionals, providing deep and advanced disease state and product information as well as facilitating the work of the scientific expert when it aligns with our client’s mission. An important aspect of this work will be to connect thought leaders and scientific experts with other resources (e.g., Discovery, Real World Evidence Scientists, Clinical Research Physicians and Global/Canadian External Research & Development).

Effectively communicate with Scientific Experts and Thought Leaders with up-to-date scientific knowledge and provide services that meet their needs.

  • The MSL will be considered a reliable, trusted resource of accurate, up-to-date medical and scientific knowledge requested and desired by their customers. They will respond in a timely way to personal or electronic inquiries with any available information which may include reprints or posters, medical letters, literature citations, access to internal and external experts, slides, and other teaching-related material.

Continually enhance scientific knowledge

  • The MSL is required to maintain technical expertise within a therapeutic area to engage in scientific discussions with scientific experts.
  • The MSL will be expected to engage in continuous learning within the therapeutic area they represent. They will attend appropriate scientific meetings, conduct routine literature searches, and will be expected to communicate regularly with each other to assure that the entire group benefits from individual learning whenever it is relevant.

Support the affiliate medical business objectives and cross functional partners:

  • The MSL will be responsible for interfacing the scientific expert and our client’s resources/internal business partners such as Clinical Research Physicians, Medical Information Associates, Medical Education, Corporate Affairs, and Marketing as requested by the expert. They will also report the clinical insights and unanswered customer questions they have received from the scientific experts to the medical and brand teams. The MSL job entails not only scientific and customer expertise, but also requires the ability to understand and effectively utilize approved resources to fulfill administrative, procedural, and legal requirements to address the customer needs and support internal business for our client.

Basic Requirements: Education and Experience

  • Advanced degree in health sciences (PhD, MD, Pharm D) with 2-3 years of MSL or relevant clinical experience.
  • OR MSc in health care/professional designation (BScN, PT, RD etc.) considered if 5 or more years of relevant clinical experience in Immunology or Oncology.
  • OR previous MSL experience and sound knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Intellectual curiosity and intelligence about the field of immunology/autoimmune disorders
  • Ability to critically appraise scientific information / literature
  • Strong presentation skills including the ability to comprehend large amounts of scientific content, which is then communicated in a clear, concise fashion
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong/collaborative peer-to-peer relationships with external customers
  • Familiarity with the academic community and medical research
  • Significant direct experience in servicing customer needs for complex information

Responsibilities

As a Specialty Sales Consultant, you will improve the customer experience by identifying critical needs and delivering optimal pharmaceutical-based healthcare solutions. You will develop deep knowledge of our health care system, disease state, product portfolio and therapeutic options.

You will identify and develop relationships with customers that will consist of family physicians and community neurologists. Using our client’s network and resources, you will respond quickly and appropriately to customer concerns. You will capture, analyze and interpret territory data, trends, and develop and implement a detailed territory plan for your portfolio.

In order to succeed, the SSR will need to understand customer needs and deliver innovative products and solutions that serve the patient and the medical community. Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor Degree, preferably in Business or Sciences.
  • Experience: 2- 3 years of proven pharmaceutical sales experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

The MSL will serve as a scientific resource for Canadian experts in the field of Immunology | Gastroenterology and inflammatory bowel disease. The MSL is responsible for responding to requests for in depth, cutting edge scientific information from the medical community in the autoimmune field including the latest scientific literature, the latest research from major scientific conferences, updates on our clients educational activities and our clients pipeline research activities.The MSL will also gather feedback and insight from Scientific Experts and Thought Leaders to better inform our clients research and overall strategic direction. By facilitating scientific exchange between the academic community and our client, the MSL has the opportunity to shape the future of healthcare with information that addresses important clinical and scientific questions.In all interactions, the MSL has responsibility to ensure that activities are compliant with all applicable guidelines, Rules and Regulations for Conducting Research, IMC Code of Conduct, our clients Canadian Policy on the Promotion of Pharmaceutical Products and Ethical Interactions with Health Care Providers, and other prevailing regulations/codes that may pertain to their work in the future.

Objectives

Develop and maintain mutually beneficial, peer-to-peer relationships with the scientific community

  • The MSL will spend a significant amount of their time on customer-facing activities to develop relationships with external customers including scientific experts, researchers, educators and clinical investigators. The MSL will serve as a major representative of our client for these health care professionals, providing deep and advanced disease state and product information as well as facilitating the work of the scientific expert when it aligns with our clients mission. An important aspect of this work will be to connect thought leaders and scientific experts with other resources (e.g., Discovery, Real World Evidence Scientists, Clinical Research Physicians and Global/Canadian External Research & Development).

Effectively communicate with Scientific Experts and Thought Leaders with up to date scientific knowledge and provide services that meet their needs.

  • The MSL will be considered a reliable, trusted resource of accurate, up-to-date medical and scientific knowledge requested and desired by their customers. They will respond in a timely way to personal or electronic inquiries with any available information which may include reprints or posters, medical letters, literature citations, access to internal and external experts, slides and other teaching-related material.

Continually enhance scientific knowledgeThe MSL is required to maintain technical expertise within a therapeutic area to engage in scientific discussions with scientific experts.

  • The MSL will be expected to engage in continuous learning within the therapeutic area they represent. They will attend appropriate scientific meetings, conduct routine literature searches and will be expected to communicate regularly with each other to assure that the entire group benefits from individual learning whenever it is relevant.

Support the affiliate medical business objectives and cross functional partner

  • The MSL will be responsible for interfacing the scientific expert and our clients resources/internal business partners such as Clinical Research Physicians, Medical Information Associates, Medical Education, Corporate Affairs, and Marketing as requested by the expert. They will also report the clinical insights and unanswered customer questions they have received from the scientific experts to the medical and brand teams. The MSL job entails not only scientific and customer expertise, but also requires the ability to understand and effectively utilize approved resources to fulfill administrative, procedural, and legal requirements in order to address the customer needs and support internal business for our client.

Basic Requirements: Education and Experience

  • Advanced degree in health sciences (PhD, MD, Pharm D) with 2-3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience in Immunology.
  • OR MSc in health care/professional designation (BScN, PT, RD etc.) considered if 5 or more years of relevant clinical experience in Immunology.
  • OR previous MSL experience and sound knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Intellectual curiosity and intelligence about the field of immunology/autoimmune disorders
  • Ability to critically appraise scientific information / literature
