Summary of Position

Our client is a global, patient-dedicated biotechnology company focused on discovering, developing and delivering high-quality medicines for people living with rare metabolic diseases.

A rare opportunity to be a part of our client’s team, the Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership (SE&P) role supports the betterment of patient outcomes for rare disease patients in Canada through the development and delivery of specific projects carried out in collaboration with healthcare system stakeholders in the Canada. Projects may include joint working, collaboration projects, education/knowledge translation, and market access. This role includes virtual and in-field work. Candidates can be located anywhere in Canada, however, GTA is ideal.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Build and maintain strategic relationships with national and regional payors, policy makers, HCPs and other relevant stakeholders across Canada.

· Engage with public and private payers to ensure reasonable reimbursement processes for HCPs and patients to simplify access to medication

· Support the management of payer agreements, including execution, renewal and reconciliation.

· Be the responsible person for the delivery of specific projects as outlined in the Canadian business plan and documented as part of the SE&P goals.

· Support the development and delivery of the Canadian operational plan in collaboration with the cross functional team.

· Planning, tracking, and monitoring of budgets for specific projects and customer related activities.

· Active liaison with all relevant internal colleagues including Medical Affairs, Compliance, Patient advocacy, General manager, Key Account managers.

· Ensure a high level of product, policy, therapeutic area, and competitor knowledge.

· Ensure compliance with all company & Local Canadian regulations.

· Role model our client’s behaviours and values.

Partnerships and Innovations (60%)

· Accountable for the mapping of national and regional policy and services plan for rare disease and identification of opportunities to collaborate to improve patient care.

· Be the accountable person for the development and delivery of collaboration and joint working projects that bring together HCPs, our client, and external stakeholders with the aim of supporting patient identification, diagnosis and treatment of patients to ultimately improve patient outcomes and care.

External Stakeholder Relations & Reimbursement (40%)

· Be the primary person responsible for our client’s management of key external stakeholders, including, but not limited to government, payers, policy makers and relevant healthcare providers

· Engage with these stakeholders to secure and maintain appropriate market access to our client’s products

· Responsible for supporting the development and delivery of plans to positively impact the policy environment to improve access to medicines for patients living with rare disease in Canada

· Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure simplify access to in-line products, and accelerate the listing of pipeline products

Qualifications & Background Requirements

Educational Requirements

Scientific and/or Business degree

Professional Work Experience

· Excellent knowledge of Canadian healthcare and payor system

· Experience and demonstrated success in creating joint public-private partnerships to improve patient outcomes within Canada.

· Pharmaceutical external engagement & market access experience required.

· Proven leadership and a track record of project delivery in cross functional and matrix teams

· Proven ability to create, build, and sustain relationships

· Passion for the job, dedicated to role modelling our client’s behaviours and values

· Entrepreneurship and hands on-mentality

· Excellent planning, organisation & business analytics skills

· Strong presentation and effective interpersonal skills

· The ability to understand, communicate and present complex scientific information to a high standard

· Experience in delivering projects in full accordance with IMC & compliance regulations

· Scientifically hungry and eager to learn, a problem solver that can take a project from A to Z

Location
