This opportunity is with our HCP detailing division, which partners with top tier pharmaceutical, consumer, medical device and biotechnology companies to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies.

PEAK Pharma Solutions Inc. is seeking on behalf of our client: GatteFossé, a highly motivated, results-oriented professional for the role of Senior Technical Account Manager support a sales/marketing program on behalf of a well-established organization – GatteFossé. In this role, you’ll work to promote GotteFossé’s products in the healthcare professional environment. You’ll be an integral part of developing a local presence on behalf of our client.

Responsibilities and Key Requirements of the Position

Reporting to the Country Manager, the Senior Technical Account Manager will be responsible for developing sales within an assigned territory, prospecting for new business opportunities, building customer relationships and interacting with customers at various levels, including formulation development, processing, tox/safety assessment, and procurement. In addition, the Senior Technical Account Manager will actively support the marketing activities of the Pharmaceutical Division and act as a mentor for the Technical Account Manager.

Main Activities

Achieve sales results that meet or exceed each fiscal year’s approved budget by:

Developing and maintaining full and comprehensive knowledge of:

  • Gattefossé’s product portfolio including scientific, marketing and pricing information,
  • Our Principals’ product portfolios including scientific, marketing and pricing information, and
  • Company and pharma industry developments by reading internal and external publications, attending seminars and educational events and from interactions with other industry sources.
  • Developing relationships with high level influencers and decision makers and be the main point of contact at assigned accounts.
  • Managing and building relationships between our Customers and appropriate personnel within Gattefossé.
  • Proactively contacting customers to maintain existing business and develop new opportunities.
  • Developing comprehensive knowledge of customers within assigned territory to understand their needs and offer solutions – re: products, formulations, technical assistance – and address customer needs via presentations, demonstrations, meetings, discussions, seminars, and other methods
  • Analysing customer sales trends, projects, and needs
  • Providing technical support; answer customers’ product use and application questions and follow up on requests at accounts.
  • Introducing existing/new/updated Gattefossé and Principal offers to customers.
  • Following up on leads from Principals, tradeshows, media inquiries, the Gattefossé website etc. to develop new business opportunities.
  • Prospecting for new customers, generating new projects, and ensuring follow up and closing of projects.
  • Planning an effective monthly customer visit schedule maximizing face to face time with influencers and decision makers.
  • Accurately documenting and proactively updating customer contacts, interactions (visits, phone calls, video calls etc), projects and activities within CRM in a timely manner.
  • Preparing and presenting activity reports at department and other meetings.
  • Assisting in preparation of annual budgets covering existing and new business.
  • Maintaining relationships with key personnel within our Principals’ organizations in support of sales growth.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to exchange technical information on customer activities, sales strategies, and marketing information on a regular basis
  • Representing Gattefossé through attendance at and participate in professional organizations, trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, webinars, seminars, and educational events as approved by management.
  • Collaborating and assisting Country Manager with business planning and marketing activities for the Pharmaceutical business unit
  • Acting as a mentor and supporting the Technical Account Manager
  • Maintaining all expenses within budgeted limits

Experience Required

  • 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical development and/or ingredient sales activities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to work independently on multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Preference given to candidates with people leadership and business planning experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (interactions with customers and internal reporting); bilingual (English/French) preferred
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and success
  • Ability to travel up to 60% (mainly in Toronto and Montreal areas)
  • MS Office and CRM database proficiencies
