PEAK Pharma Solutions is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented professional for the role of Specialty Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (Cardiovascular) to support a sales/marketing program on behalf of a well-established pharmaceutical organization in Canada, covering areas such as Montreal to Outaouais. In this role, you’ll work to promote this organization’s prescription brands in the specialty environment. You’ll be an integral part of developing a local presence on behalf of our client. You will:

  • Execute branding strategies in the field. 
  • Ensure the sales performance of the assigned territory
  • Develop and execute the territory’s business plans
  • Establish and maintain privileged partnership relationships with key customers.

Main responsibilities

  • Achieve all territory business goals, including sales and growth goals. Promote our client’s product (s) and services to key opinion leaders, targeted specialists and healthcare professionals.
  • Understand customer needs and deliver solutions that benefit patients, healthcare professionals and our client.
  • Develop, implement and execute a business plan for the territory.
  • Communicate and collaborate with all members of the cross-functional team to ensure optimal positioning on business opportunities and priorities.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge on the assigned products and pathologies.
  • Ensure stakeholder identification and liaison with the clinical team, where appropriate, to ensure development.
  • Analyze and report on sales, medical education, monthly plans, calling activities and budgets.
  • Act as a benchmark for our client’s values and behaviours and ethical business practices (compliance with Canada’s innovative medicines, code of conduct, etc.)
  • Represent our client as an innovative and ethical company whose products and services specifically meet the needs of patients and the medical community.

Qualifications

  • University degree, preferably in health sciences or business administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience with supporting results.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital, with specialization.
  • Experience in the cardiovascular products market is an asset.

YOUR ROLE AT DOMPÉ

Under the direction of the General Manager of Dompé Canada, the Associate Director (AD) of Market Access will be responsible for identifying access barriers and proposing strategies to address patient access needs by working to maintain the Dompe Cares patient support program and working with private and public payers to maximize access to Oxervate for patients to whom it has been prescribed.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Private & Public Pricing & Reimbursement Strategy

  • Identify access barriers and propose strategies to address patient access needs, ensuring coverage is in line with Canadian Product Monograph
  • Maintain a high level of clinical and market expertise and lead various agencies, consultants, and global marketing partners to successfully maximize patient access to the product in Canada
  • Refine the product launch strategy, critical success factors, behavioural objectives and tactics to ensure all patient access goals are met.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders, influence future growth strategies, and shape the culture of Dompé Canada

Manage Private & Public Payer Interactions

  • Meet with private and public payers to obtain access to Oxervate, partnering with the Medical team to prepare presentation materials and clinical data.
  • Track payer coverage and market landscape and triage access issues. Identify trends and develop action plan to increase coverage.

Manage Patient Support Program

  • Fully own patient support programs, including providing management with visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs), managing to required service levels, and initiating performance management steps.

YOUR ROLE AT DOMPÉ

Under the guidance of the Director of International Medical Affairs, the Associate Medical Director of Medical Affairs for Canada is responsible for the development of the Canadian medical affairs strategy and tactics, medical operations, medical information, medical payer clinical strategy, medical training, medical education and scientific communications.

The Associate Medical Director oversees the Medical Communications Manager and MSL Manager and sets all the KPIs for the department and oversees all the key responsibilities of medical affairs within Canada, while aligning with the global medical affairs teams. This roll is remote in Canada and will have some field-based time.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Canada Medical Affairs Operational Excellence:

  • Develop global medical affairs strategy and tactics in alignment with cross functional teams and global medical affairs.
  • Effectively manage budget agreed upon with re-prioritizing as required for new initiatives, and appropriate budget resets quarterly.
  • Ensure operations are executed in compliance with all global and local policies.
  • Effectively contribute to decision-making of global medical affairs.

Internal and External Leadership:

  • Lead the Medical Information/Operations/Communications teams in Canada.
  • Create metrics and individual goals to track success of department.
  • Provide appropriate mentoring and coaching to direct reports with respect to technical skills, business acumen/planning, and effective territory management.

Clinical Strategy Market Access:

  • Develop and implement clinical strategy for payers (private and public) based on internal and external data and scientific positioning. Leverage global resources to support local payer presentations and create all payer presentation materials.
  • Execute high priority managed care presentations and ensure continued clinical enhancements.
  • Assign as needed proper medical affairs team members to cover clinical presentations and NAM clinical training.
  • Develop and update clinical FAQs related to market access. Implement as needed clinical strategies to overcome policy restrictions for certain plans. Develop tactical plans for medical education materials needed for payers including the Dossier.

Local Medical Information Management:

  • Manage on-boarding medical information vendor in partnership with the Global Medical Information Director.
  • Systematically identifies medical information needs based on incoming medical information request forms (MIRFs) received and develops related Standard Response Documents (SRDs).
  • Medical research needs via PubMed and other databases, as well as primary analysis of the clinical study report (CSR) with our internal R&D team.

Local Medical Communications:

Abstract and Publication Strategy development:

  • Creation and execution of annual publication plan for Canada. Work with all cross functional partners to gain agreement on medical publication and abstract plan yearly.
  • Manage and onboard medical communications vendors and medical writers to ensure alignment to medical affairs strategy and clinical data.
  • Writes and obtains internal reviews and approvals for posters and abstracts submitted for all major Ophthalmic conferences in a timely manner, planning for and adhering to deadlines.
  • Serves to represent Canada on global publications committee. Leverages global data for local scientific needs in Canada.

Materials:

  • Lead strategy and manage the tactical execution of materials (e.g., slide decks, FAQs) for field medical personnel.
  • Develops content for presentations at scientific meetings, including Medical Affairs Advisory Board Meetings and Medical Symposia supported by the company.
  • Performs regular literature surveillance, informs appropriate individuals about general literature of interest, and creates detailed alerts upon identification of high interest new literature in a timely manner.
  • Supports medical affairs initiatives as needed and perform other related duties as required by position.

  • Lead for medical legal review committee (MLR) for all medical affair materials.
  • Ensure SOP alignment and training for all medical team members involved in reviews.

Medical Operations and Training Management:

  • Leads the development and maintenance of medical affairs departmental processes, operations, policies, SOPs, and associated documents.
  • Manage strategic focus and timely execution of deliverables. This includes initiating team building activities, managing timelines and deliverables, leadership of team projects and progress monitoring, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure smooth program operations.
  • Provide operational efficiencies by implementing process improvements, providing guidance and support to team members, quickly identifying resolutions to issues, and developing communication plans to engage key stakeholders and increase program-related communication across the organization.
  • Ensure management of Medical affairs compliance approvals, physician contracting, CDAs, vendor contracts.
  • Development and maintenance of local medical affairs training programs by leveraging global medical affairs training materials and partnering with global training manager.

YOUR ROLE AT DOMPÉ

Under the direction of the General Manager of Dompé Canada, the AD/Director of Marketing & Customer Engagement will be the primary customer facing marketing presence and will be responsible for developing and executing on the brand strategy for bringing Oxervate to the Ophthalmology and Optometry community in Canada.

OXERVATE is a first in class treatment for neurotrophic keratitis, a rare disease impacting approximately 7,000 people in Canada. Given the first-in-class nature and strong clinical profile of OXERVATE, continuing to drive adoption and advocacy for the drug among the KOL community and high-potential prescribers is critical for Dompé’s long term growth. It is important that the AD/Director, Marketing & Customer Engagement has strong communication, relationship building, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to support the sales team and also collaborating with the broader organization to successfully launch our Oxervate strategy in Canada.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic & Tactical Planning

  • Develop annual tactic plan, including highlighting knowledge gaps, and planning appropriate market research and other tactics as needed (e.g. advisory boards)
  • Recommend and manage program budget, and use key performance indicators (KPI) to track success of promotional programs
  • Liaise with the Oxervate Brand Marketing Team to ensure alignment with global brand positioning and messaging as appropriate

PEAK Pharma Solutions is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented professional for the role of Physician Recruitment Consultant to support a sales/marketing program on behalf of a start-up healthcare service organization in the Oakville/Niagara region in Ontario, Canada. In this role, you’ll work to promote this organization’s newly developed, AI-supported, patient identification service to the physician community. You’ll be an integral part of developing a local presence on behalf of our client. You will:

  • Using your established relationships with General Practitioners and Family Physicians to educate and execute physician agreements with our client’s services
  • Develop and execute your territory’s business plan
  • Adhere to assigned call targets as communicated by PEAK and the client
