PEAK Pharma Solutions Inc. is currently recruiting on behalf of global, research based biopharmaceutical organization, specializing in rare diseases. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, self-driven, agile, and passionate Medical Affairs Manager to join our client’s high performance team as a full time team member based out of their Downtown Toronto corporate offices.

You are:

  • Someone who possesses a strong foundation in medical and clinical knowledge with a good grasp of current issues and challenges in the respective therapy area.
  • Eager to learn from and exchange ideas with healthcare professionals and KOLs
  • Want to innovate and are not happy with the status quo.
  • Able to bring current clinical data and scientific information into real-world treatment settings.
  • Skilled at developing and executing strategic medical plans that align with broader organizational objectives, ensuring our client’s medical initiatives contribute to overall success.
  • Experienced in building and fostering networks of KOLs, thought leaders, and other stakeholders, fostering collaboration and advancing patient care.
  • Effective and efficient in managing multiple projects, from clinical trials to medical education initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are optimized
  • Good at understanding the patient perspective and advocate for patient-centric approaches in medical initiatives, demonstrating empathy and commitment to improving patient outcomes.
  • Able to work collaboratively across departments, such as marketing, regulatory affairs, R&D, and sales, to integrate medical insights into broader organizational strategies
  • Focused on achieving measurable outcomes and demonstrating the impact of medical initiatives on patient outcomes and business success.

The Work:

We are ambitious and have a progressive agenda. In each therapeutic area we operate, our client has generated world-class data through clinical research in Canada. Our client wants your expertise to help bring this evidence into routine clinical practice.

What you will be doing

  • Implementation of evidence-based treatment protocols
  • Plan, implement and manage the Canadian post-approval studies including IITs
  • Develop and execute medical programs that directly support change management
  • Develop and engage a set of thought leaders across two therapeutic areas
  • Partner with sales and marketing to support discussions with high-value customers
  • Contribute to Health Technology Assessments to profile the value of our therapies
  • Author scientific position papers and/or review scientific publications

You will need:

  • MD, PhD, PharmD or RN with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or healthcare organizations
  • Experienced in clinical trial/IIT management, thought leader development and peer-to-peer network medical education
  • Experienced in the Hematology, Coagulation and or Immunology Therapeutic Areas
  • Ability to interact and develop KOLs, National and International Trial investigators.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize and execute clinical studies to future-proof our client’s pipeline, in collaboration with internal leadership and external experts
  • Product launch experience in relevant disease areas
  • Have created medical questionnaires, and educational product slide decks & exposed to clinical trial design
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including medical writing skills
  • Existing relationships with Hematologists, Experts in Transfusion medicine & Anesthesiologists
  • Bilingual (French is an advantage)
