YOUR ROLE AT DOMPÉ

Under the direction of the General Manager of Dompé Canada, the AD/Director of Marketing & Customer Engagement will be the primary customer facing marketing presence and will be responsible for developing and executing on the brand strategy for bringing Oxervate to the Ophthalmology and Optometry community in Canada.

OXERVATE is a first in class treatment for neurotrophic keratitis, a rare disease impacting approximately 7,000 people in Canada. Given the first-in-class nature and strong clinical profile of OXERVATE, continuing to drive adoption and advocacy for the drug among the KOL community and high-potential prescribers is critical for Dompé’s long term growth. It is important that the AD/Director, Marketing & Customer Engagement has strong communication, relationship building, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to support the sales team and also collaborating with the broader organization to successfully launch our Oxervate strategy in Canada.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic & Tactical Planning

  • Develop annual tactic plan, including highlighting knowledge gaps, and planning appropriate market research and other tactics as needed (e.g. advisory boards)
  • Recommend and manage program budget, and use key performance indicators (KPI) to track success of promotional programs
  • Liaise with the Oxervate Brand Marketing Team to ensure alignment with global brand positioning and messaging as appropriate
  • Conduct Market Research to support the development of strategies and tactics

KOL Engagement Strategy & Execution

  • Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the Ophthalmology and Ocular Surface Disease Community
  • Organize engagements between KOLs and Dompé Team
  • Collect Strategic Insights to share with the organization and incorporate learning into strategies and tactics for Canadian Customers
  • Maintain personal relationships with the leadership of larger national & regional ophthalmic and optometric societies, periodically meeting with them to keep a pulse on their organization and opportunities for Dompé’s partnership

Congress Strategy & Execution

  • Provide strategic direction with Marketing partners to develop booth and materials for use at congresses
  • Develop Congress schedule and plan for Dompé Canada including the type of presence to have at each congress based on attendee profiles and location
  • Attend national & international congresses to represent the Dompé Canada leadership team with KOLs, gather market insights, and ensure seamless execution of Dompé’s overall presence at the conference
  • Collaborate with US Field Marketing team on international congress presence

Promotional Material Development

  • Develop/Localize and launch promotional campaigns, messages, educational programs and sales tools based on globally developed master materials
  • Develop Commercial Peer to Peer Strategy and hire partner vendors to develop materials, identify and train speakers and conduct speaker programs
  • Collaborate with commercial field leadership to create an effective and compliant training plan around messaging and resource utilization
  • Help to guide strategic decisions and ensure flawless execution of programs to HCPs and their patients
  • Comply with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Dompé activities

Commercial Insights Collection

  • Plan and execute Commercial advisory boards with HCP Customers
  • Develop content and structure, while working with field marketing to recruit advisors
  • Manage vendor in logistical needs for all commercial advisory boards

  • KOLs / HCPs,

  • Ophthalmic & Optometric societies

YOU COULD BE THE PERFECT FIT IF YOU HAVE:

  • Pharmaceutical/biotech sales or marketing experience is required, ideally some of which includes leadership or people manager experience
  • Recent ophthalmology market experience, ideally in anterior segment; Experience in optometry is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to launch new products and proven track record of driving brand growth
  • Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical legal and regulatory requirements and impact on KOL interactions, and development of marketing strategy and materials
  • Experience with cross-functional review committees and presenting to senior leadership, HCPs, and sales teams
  • The ideal candidate will have 8 years or more of pharmaceutical (or broader healthcare) commercial experience (marketing, training, KOL strategy experience, and experience working with national eye care KOLs and societies is a plus)
  • College degree is required, MBA or master’s level degree a plus (PharmD, RN, OD, MPH, PhD)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to find creative and innovative solutions and desire to get into the details

  • Excellent project management skills and follow through, as well as a proven ability to delegate and lead through others for key deliverables

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
