Responsibilities

PEAK Pharma Solutions is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented professional for the role of National Sales Representative – Acute Care. In this role, you be responsible for calling on individual hospital, groups and regional authorities to drive contract compliance, introduce new products and drive an increase in sales off contract. Develop partnerships with Distribution sales teams to gain increased access to customers. This will include managing day-to-day account activity, including product in-servicing, contract negotiation and resolving customer concern and providing solutions to product challenges. You will:

  • Proactively identify new sales opportunities
  • Effectively present our client’s capabilities and product offering

to customers and distributor sales teams

  • Work with distribution partner sales team to uncover opportunities
  • Partner with key internal and external stakeholder to close sales

opportunities and meet customer needs

  • Provide market intelligence to key internal stakeholders to support

and ensure proper product forecasting

  • Collaborate with National Account managers and Business Units to

prepare market during precontract period and implement awarded Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts

  • Work with internal Product Management Teams/Business Units to

stay current on competitive offerings in the marketplace and customer

feedback

  • Provide alternative solutions to customers that are experiencing supply chain challenges and gaps in service levels
  • Effectively utilize Salesforce to catalog customer data and document pipeline opportunities

Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, self-assurance and an engaging manner, the ideal candidate has:

  • Existing network of acute care contacts and relationships within Canada 
  • Knowledge of preparing for and servicing acute contracts and goal achievement
  • 5+ years of experience in Medical Device sales in the Acute Care segment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Good management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated capability to utilize a CRM such as Salesforce
  • Ability to travel within territory, as needed, to key customer meetings and presentations
  • Existing network of acute care contacts and relationships within many or all provinces is a bonus
  • Bilingual (French & English) is considered a bonus

  • Problem-Solving: Proactively implements fixes and changes as needed to keep small problems from becoming big problems. Devises workable solutions or consults with secondary resources to devise solutions.
  • Decision Making: Bases decisions on verified information, business acumen and informed intuition. Sought after for assistance in making decisions.
  • Communication: Able to communicate effectively and concisely to all levels of organizational hierarchy.
