Our ideal candidate will provide marketing oversight for the brand to achieve Rx growth objectives and lead activities across the marketing spectrum which are relevant to the designated brand including: brand strategy, communication strategy, market research, new product introduction and promotion strategy and tactical development/implementation.

Main Responsibilities:
- Develop annual brand plans; implement marketing strategies, campaigns and tactics to drive demand; sources and explore new channel opportunities to maximize marketing plan impact and effectiveness
- Proactively identifies relevant brand opportunities and risks, monitors and develops plans to convert results; inspires field staff through brand engagement activities
- Develop, recommend and manage the advertising and promotion budget and project timelines
- Provides input to support product forecasting including TRx, sales and unit modeling appropriate for demand/ inventory management and performance measurement/monitoring
- Coordinate and direct the delivery of support services including: briefing of marketing research activities, agencies of record
- Partners with medical and training team to evolve local field training program
- Effectively communicate the marketing strategy and annual promotional plan to the sales team including leading appropriate content development for sales meetings (needs assessment, slide decks, workshops)
- Collaborate with the cross-functional team (Sales, market access, medical, regulatory, etc., both in Canada and the US as required)
- Lead the analysis and reporting of brand business results including sales, market share and TRx performance to plan, KPI’s, marketing variance, promotional impact, execution progress
- Remain up to date with respect to customer marketplace including knowledge of key competitors and competitive strategies
- Co-ordinate the production, fulfillment and maintenance of all marketing material; adhering to internal SOP’s and company compliance policies
- Development of a customer strategy that ensures a strong reputation, high visibility; develop and leverage relationships with key opinion leaders and other external experts to optimize patient management and drive the brand forward
Education/Competencies Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree is an asset (MBA, MSc)
- Progressive experience in commercial pharmaceuticals preferably with 4-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in the area of rare disease.
- Launch experience required
- Experience within a pharmaceutical start up organization (preferred)
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated track record of successful product launches and sustained commercial growth
- Has delivered keen marketing insights and competitive advantage to pharmaceutical brands; translates strategy into practical, competitive and executable business plans
- Astute problem solver who reviews facts and options, exhibits sound judgment, a realistic understanding of issues and demonstrates a bias for action
- Experience with project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities
- PSP experience as it relates to overall marketing plan
- Experience with genetic testing programs is ideal
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for customer engagement
- Ability to work from home efficiently and effectively
- Excels in a team environment, working cohesively and collaboratively
- Bilingualism (French / English) considered an asset
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Comfortable navigating Health Canada, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), PAAB, Innovative Medicines Canada, PMPRB and other regulatory requirements
- Understanding of , reimbursement and distribution challenges
- Communicates clearly and concisely, both oral and written
- Excellent analytical and planning abilities; budgets and financial plans
- Responding to inquiries from management, customers and regulatory agencies
- Working independently to manage multiple projects, duties and assignments; exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Planning, recommending and implementing objectives, strategies and practices to assure the highest quality of service, product satisfaction, and continued business relationships with customers
- Effective & efficient management of resources; cost minimization and value maximization
- Ability and desire to travel for business (up to 20% of time): domestic meetings (co-travel, Ad Boards, Conferences) and US head officeas assigned by the General Manager
